1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to World Quiz Race. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and World Quiz Race ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the World Quiz Race website and mobile application (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use our Service. If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration
To play World Quiz Race, you must create an account by providing:

Your first name and last name
A valid email address
Your state of residence
Your country of residence

You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and current
Confirm your email address to activate your account
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You may only maintain one active account per email address. You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to another person.

4. Game Rules

4.1 Objective
Starting your World Quiz Race in New York with WQ$3000 (World Quiz Race Dollars) in your wallet, you'll need to travel around the globe in real-time answering questions on each city you visit. Get the question right and choose your next destination. Get the question wrong and incur a time and monetary penalty before you can continue.

4.2 Goal
Arrive back in New York in the shortest amount of time, with the most amount of money remaining, without running out of money.

4.3 Specific Rules

Players must be registered and have confirmed their email address
Players have unlimited games, but can only play one game at a time per email address/account
Each travel leg in the game is in an easterly direction of less than 4000 miles
Each player begins the game with WQ$3000 (World Quiz Race Dollars)
Travel times and costs are approximate to the real-world travel times and costs for the chosen mode of transport between the chosen cities
Players incurring a penalty are subject to a time and monetary penalty. The time penalty is 24-hours and the monetary penalty equals the average cost of one night for a hotel room in that city
The game is over if the player runs out of money or circumnavigates the globe back to New York

4.4 Game Modifications
We reserve the right to modify game rules, mechanics, scoring, travel costs, penalties, and other game features at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.

5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

Cheating or Hacking: Using exploits, bots, hacks, mods, or any unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage
Account Manipulation: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent game limitations or boost rankings
Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service
Reverse Engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse engineering any aspect of the Service
Data Mining: Using automated systems to extract data from the Service without permission
Interference: Interfering with or disrupting the Service, servers, or networks
Impersonation: Impersonating another person or entity
Harmful Content: Uploading viruses, malware, or other malicious code
Harassment: Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
Fraudulent Activity: Engaging in any fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive practices

Important: Any player found cheating or "hacking" the game will be immediately and permanently banned from the Service without refund or compensation.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Property
The Service and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, audio, video, game design, questions, answers, graphics, logos, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by World Quiz Race, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

6.2 Limited License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not include any right to:

Resell or make commercial use of the Service
Modify, reproduce, or create derivative works based on the Service
Download (except for page caching) or copy any content for any purpose
Use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering tools

6.3 Trademarks
World Quiz Race and associated logos are trademarks or registered trademarks of World Quiz Race. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written consent.

7. User Data and Privacy
By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that we collect, use, and disclose your personal information and usage data as described in our Privacy Policy, including:

Personal information (name, email, state, country)
Device information (device type, OS, IP address, identifiers)
Usage information (gameplay data, navigation patterns, time spent on the Service)

You consent to such collection, use, and disclosure as set forth in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Leaderboards and Public Information
You acknowledge and agree that certain information may be publicly displayed on leaderboards, including your first name, state, country, and game statistics (scores, completion times, money remaining). By participating in the game, you consent to this public display of information.

9. Virtual Currency
World Quiz Race Dollars (WQ$) are virtual currency used exclusively within the game and have no real-world monetary value. WQ$ cannot be exchanged for real money, transferred between accounts, or redeemed for any goods or services outside the Service. We reserve the right to modify, manage, control, or eliminate WQ$ at our sole discretion.

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

Violation of these Terms
Cheating, hacking, or fraudulent activity
Engaging in prohibited conduct
Extended periods of inactivity
At our sole discretion for operational or legal reasons

10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. We are not obligated to retain your data after termination, though we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

11.1 No Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
The results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
Any errors in the Service will be corrected
The Service will be available at any particular time or location

11.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WORLD QUIZ RACE, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data
Any interruption or cessation of the Service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD.

12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless World Quiz Race, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

13.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally by sending written notice at least 30 days before initiating arbitration or litigation.

13.2 Binding Arbitration
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except as modified by these Terms. The arbitration shall be conducted in New York State, USA, and judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

13.3 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND WORLD QUIZ RACE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New York State, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in New York State, USA, and you hereby irrevocably consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.

15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.

16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and World Quiz Race regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.

18. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by World Quiz Race.

19. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

21. Additional Provisions

21.1 Mobile Application
If you access the Service through our mobile application, you also agree to any additional terms applicable to the app store from which you downloaded the application (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, etc.).

21.2 Updates and Maintenance
We may perform scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Service. We are not liable for any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service due to such activities.

21.3 Export Control
You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations in your use of the Service.
